About your organization

Enabling people to move on their own is crucial to unleashing full human potential. Mobility is a fundamental part of living in society autonomously and freely, engaging in daily activities like working, moving and enjoying leisure time. However, 1 in 3 people in the world have a mobility problem that restricts their participation in society. Of these, 0.1 billion are severe problems that generate a paralysis, being the most common causes strokes and spinal cord injuries.

Paralyzed individuals could walk again by using an exoskeleton to restore the affected leg movements. However, due to their high access price (~120k€/unit), high weight (~25 kg) and need for trained therapist supervision, exoskeletons are only found in large hospitals and never get into patients’ homes.

ABLE Human Motion was born with a clear mission: enabling mobility, to everyone. Therefore, we started creating lightweight and affordable exoskeleton technology to empower every person in a wheelchair, by providing better mobility and greater independence in a continuum of care process, from the hospital to home.
