Danu Robotics is an AI-native deep-tech company building intelligent robotic infrastructure for the global recycling industry. Our mission is to transform waste management from a labour-intensive, low-margin process into a data-driven, scalable, and economically sustainable system.

We develop AI-guided, multi-arm robotic sorting systems designed specifically for harsh, real-world waste environments — including wet, dirty, and mixed 2D/3D waste streams where traditional vacuum-based or retrofitted industrial robots struggle. Our system combines advanced computer vision, 3D-aware object modelling, multi-agent coordination, and adaptive hand-like grippers to deliver high-precision picking in high-entropy environments.

Unlike bulk mechanical technologies such as eddy current separators or air-jet optical sorters — which are effective for high-volume separation but lack precision — Danu operates in the quality-control layer of Material Recovery Facilities (MRFs). Our robots replace manual sorters in precision tasks, increasing recovery rates, improving bale purity, reducing labour dependency, and generating real-time operational data previously unavailable to operators.

Our system achieves over 95% identification accuracy and is capable of up to 60 picks per minute per unit, with extended operating hours beyond human shift limitations. More importantly, our deployments generate granular performance data — including pick rate, success rate, and object-level tracking — enabling continuous system optimisation and improved facility transparency.

Danu Robotics is currently a UK-registered company and is in the process of becoming a US entity. We have established a U.S. presence at HAX in New Jersey to support North American expansion and investor engagement.

We are revenue-generating and working with flagship customers including EGF, Portugal’s largest waste management company processing approximately 60% of the country’s household waste, and Reconomy, a multi-billion-dollar global circularity group. Our system is operational at a live customer site, with additional deployments planned across the UK, EU, and North America.

Our leadership team brings over 50 years of combined experience across AI, robotics, industrial automation, supercomputing, and digital platforms. Founder & CEO Amy Ma holds three Master’s degrees in Computer Science and Mathematical Sciences and has over 10 years’ experience in AI and distributed systems. CTO Ben Bamford brings 15+ years in robotics and industrial automation, including prior successful robotic deployments in food and beverage manufacturing. COO Ceri Shaw has 25+ years in digital technology and leads development of our data and digitisation platform.

We operate with a development-partnership model, working closely with live facilities to refine performance under real operating conditions. This approach allows us to build industrial-grade solutions rather than lab-only prototypes.

Long term, we aim to become the intelligence layer for global recycling infrastructure — enabling fully automated sorting facilities and deploying scalable robotic systems that improve recycling rates, reduce operational risk, and support the circular economy at industrial scale.
