Commercialization of scientific research results, carrying out the applied research commissioned by enterprises, supporting the creation of spin-off companies and cooperation with the business environment.

The Technology Transfer Office of Poznań University of Technology (TTO PUT) is a university-wide unit established on 28 October 2009 by Resolution No. 63 of the Academic Senate of Poznań University of Technology, with the purpose of carrying out direct commercialisation. This primarily involves activities aimed at the transfer of rights to research results (and the know-how related to those results) generated by the University’s staff, or making such results (and related know-how) available for use, in particular under licence, lease, or rental agreements.

TTO PUT provides comprehensive advisory, information, training, and promotional support, including in the areas of intellectual property management in the context of planned commercialisation, innovative and implementation-oriented activities, and the transfer of knowledge and technology from academia to the economy.

The Office has extensive experience in implementing pro-innovation projects and supporting processes related to cooperation between academic and business communities. Examples of its initiatives include advisory services for academic staff and entrepreneurs on cooperation between science and the business environment, management of commissioned works carried out as part of the University’s economic activities, co-organisation of thematic events (such as the Poznań University of Technology Economic Forum and industry fairs), development of catalogues of offers for the economy—including technologies, services, and research infrastructure—and implementation of projects dedicated to supporting technology transfer processes.
