Blue Atlas Robotics - Our Company and Vision
Blue Atlas Robotics has developed an unique small designed autonomous operating underwater Robot with an image processing technology tightly integrated with a large camera array, that allows for software based automatic control and navigation of the Robot.
The ROV is able to consistently and repeatedly image and produce 3-D models of ship hulls, which will add new value to how the condition of a hull can be captured and monitored over time.
It has an on-board autopilot which uses the camera system to calculate the distance to the structure and keep the ROV positioned at a constant distance, usually 30-50cm depending on visibility.
The ROV is then commanded to scan the structure in a predetermined pattern.
The inspection result is a high-definition video, individual picture frames linked to a dense computer-generated 3D model of the inspected area.
